About the role

KPMG is seeking an Associate Managing Director to join our Pricing & Commercial Enablement team. This role focuses on developing and evolving the firm's AI and SaaS product pricing strategy, grounded in market best practices, competitor benchmarks, and emerging pricing models.

Responsibilities

  • Own the development and evolution of the firm's AI and SaaS product pricing strategy framework, incorporating external market best practices, competitor benchmarks, and emerging pricing models.
  • Define clear pricing principles and decision frameworks for different product types (e.g., software, platforms, IP-enabled services, co-developed solutions).
  • Advise on pricing strategies through the product lifecycle (e.g., client experimentation, early adopters, general availability, expansion, sunset). Direct product teams on how to consider costs of R&D, development, and maintenance, and how these influence pricing strategy.
  • Guide product teams on pricing implications tied to growth, profitability, and market positioning.
  • Design and execute pricing experimentation and pilots, including client feedback loops and willingness-to-pay testing (e.g., Van Westendorp, Gabor-Granger, conjoint, discrete choice).
  • Structure testing during co-development with clients, ensuring pricing is tested without compromising client relationships. Assess test results and provide data-backed pricing recommendations to product teams and business owners.
  • Collaborate with PCE leadership, product leaders, function leaders, and other stakeholders to align AI and SaaS pricing strategy with broader firmwide pricing objectives. Influence without authority, bringing structure and credibility to complex pricing discussions.
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum twelve years of recent experience in pricing; minimum five years of recent experience in pricing for a technology or software company.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required; advanced graduate degree is preferred.
  • Experience operating in complex, matrixed environments with multiple stakeholders.
  • Deep expertise in product pricing models, market testing, and value-based pricing approaches.
  • Background working directly with product teams and influencing pricing decisions during development and launch.
  • Strong understanding of how to scale pricing decisions through tools, systems, and governance.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex pricing concepts clearly to senior leaders and non-pricing audiences.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
