About the role

Terrain Café is a chef-driven, garden-to-table restaurant that celebrates seasonal ingredients and the art of gathering through thoughtful menus and warm, welcoming spaces rooted in craftsmanship and heartfelt hospitality. The Associate Floor Manager leads hourly teams to deliver a best-in-class brand experience, overseeing floor operations to ensure our signature standards of hospitality are met.

Essential Duties

  • Shift Leadership: Lead floor shifts with high energy and strict adherence to opening, closing, and operational standards.
  • Direct Daily Workflow: Assign equitable floor sections, run engaging pre-shift meetings, enforce dress code, and step into service roles as needed.
  • Brand Ambassador: Serve as the ultimate champion of the Terrain brand, ensuring our core values are reflected in every guest touchpoint.
  • Active Engagement: Maintain a strong, visible presence on the floor during peak hours, modeling extraordinary service standards and creating moments of genuine guest delight.
  • Feedback & Connection: Intentionally connect with guests to obtain real-time feedback, and actively monitor and respond to external customer communication channels.
  • Service Redirection: Act as the first line of defense for shift challenges, guest needs, seamlessly turning negative experiences into opportunities to build lifelong brand loyalty.
  • Safety & Compliance: Uphold the highest standards for sanitation and safety, ensuring the team consistently exceeds all regulatory and company guidelines.
  • Proactive Problem Solving: Think on your feet to swiftly resolve unexpected operational hiccups, from equipment malfunctions to sudden supply shortages.
  • Culture Creator: Cultivate an inclusive, high-energy, and supportive work environment that prioritizes employee engagement, psychological safety, and team morale.
  • Continuous Feedback: Champion a culture of transparency and growth by providing candid, actionable feedback to team members while actively soliciting upward communication and ideas from the floor.

Qualifications

  • Commitment Expectations: Approximately 40 hours per week, available nights, weekends, and holidays as identified by brand leadership, to include promotional days, brand events, emergency, and PTO coverage.
  • Ability to Work Nights, Weekends, and Holidays: Available nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, within reason.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of restaurant experience, 1 year of supervisory experience preferred, but not required.
  • Skills: Experience with restaurant technical applications, including POS & OpenTable; ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours); ability to reach, bend and stoop.

Pay

Starting from USD $25.00/Hr.
