Associate Manager, Sustaining Sourcing
Position Summary
The Associate Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic sustaining sourcing initiatives that drive cost, quality, service, and supply continuity improvements. This role partners with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders to optimize the supply base, mitigate risk, support new product development, and deliver value aligned with divisional and enterprise objectives.
What you will do
Develop and execute commodity and sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
Lead supplier selection, supply base optimization, and spend analysis initiatives.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while driving performance through scorecards, business reviews, and continuous improvement efforts.
Negotiate and manage supplier agreements to achieve optimal commercial, quality, and service outcomes.
Conduct cost analyses, benchmarking, and make-versus-buy evaluations to support sourcing decisions.
Identify and implement cost reduction, productivity, and value improvement initiatives.
Monitor market conditions, industry trends, and emerging technologies to inform sourcing strategies.
Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
Partner with engineering, operations, quality, finance, and product development teams to align sourcing strategies with business needs.
Demonstrate success in supplier negotiations, contract management, cost reduction, risk mitigation, and supplier performance management.
Show strong analytical, project management, and influencing skills.
Prove effective collaboration and communication across all organizational levels.
What you will need
Required: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field. 6+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply management, or supplier development.
Preferred: Experience within a highly regulated industry. Knowledge of ISO 13485, FDA QSR, and ISO 9001 standards. Supplier performance management. Master's degree and/or professional certifications APICS, ISM, CSCMP, PMP. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Large ERP experience.
Pay Ranges
$89,300 - $148,800 USD Annual
