Associate Manager - Engineering

About the role

nCino is seeking an experienced and passionate Associate Manager to lead the Automated Underwriting System team. This role requires a blend of leadership and technical expertise, focusing on integrating Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac systems to streamline loan assessment and preparation.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the engineering team, ensuring project timelines and deliverables are met
• Guide and mentor team members, providing training and professional development opportunities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product functionality and user experience
• Apply AI/ML techniques to improve development efficiency and product quality
• Maintain awareness of emerging AI trends and best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field with 6+ years of relevant experience and 1+ year of management experience
• Proficiency in at least one major programming language
• Experience in a fast-paced development environment
• Proven success as a coach and mentor of technical staff
• Dedication to quality and continuous improvement
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications

• Desired: Experience with client-side JavaScript frameworks, Ruby on Rails, AWS tools, and Agile software development

Benefits
