About the Role

The California State Lottery is seeking an Internal Auditor to join our Internal Audits Team. In this role, you will independently plan, conduct, and report on complex operational, performance, compliance, information systems, and financial audits. You will act as the auditor-in-charge, exercising professional judgment and analytical skills throughout each phase of the audit engagement.

Responsibilities
- Independently plan, conduct, and report on complex audits, including operational, performance, compliance, information systems, and financial audits of the California State Lottery.
- Serve as the auditor-in-charge, exercising professional judgment and analytical skills throughout each phase of the audit engagement.
Requirements
- Current Associate Management Auditor exam eligibility (or ability to obtain it).
- All experience and education relating to the Minimum Qualifications listed on the Classification Specification must be clearly demonstrated on your State Application (STD Form 678).
- Resume is required and must be submitted.
- Statement of Qualifications is required (see instructions below).
Special Requirements
- The California State Lottery Act prohibits hiring individuals convicted of a felony or any gambling-related offense.
- A Background Investigation must be cleared prior to hiring.
- If basing eligibility on education, provide transcripts and/or diploma. Applicants with foreign transcripts must submit a transcript evaluation indicating equivalent units. Pay
$6,646.00 - $8,740.00 per month. Effective July 1, 2025, specific bargaining units and excluded state employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2% - 4.62% in exchange for Personal Leave hours each month. More details here.
