Associate - Litigation

BakerHostetler seeks an experienced insurance litigator to join its Litigation Practice Group in Denver. This attorney will play a key role in a growing national insurance litigation practice representing regional and national insurers in complex coverage disputes, bad faith litigation (with specific experience in automobile insurance bad faith matters preferred), insurance-related class actions, and other high-exposure litigation matters. The successful candidate will assume substantial responsibility from day one, including leading case strategy, managing client relationships, supervising litigation teams, and serving as a trusted advisor to insurer clients. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with an established team of insurance litigators and class action defense attorneys while supporting the continued growth of longstanding client relationships and expanding market opportunities. This position is ideal for an attorney seeking sophisticated litigation work, direct client responsibility, significant matter ownership, and a clear path toward long-term leadership and partnership development. Qualifications Include 6-8 years of experience representing insurers in complex coverage, bad faith, and insurance-related litigation. Experience managing matters from inception through trial, settlement, or appeal. Experience defending putative and certified class actions. Significant experience handling coverage disputes, extra-contractual claims, and bad faith litigation. Strong motion practice, discovery management, and litigation strategy experience. Experience supervising associates and litigation teams. Admission to the Colorado Bar. Help shape and expand a growing insurance litigation platform. Location: This position is in Denver, CO. Salary The expected annual salary for this position ranges from $290,000 - $340,000. The salary offered will be determined by a wide range of factors, including, but not limited to, experience level, education/training, geographic region, and relevant skills. Associates also participate in a performance- and hours-based bonus program.
