Associate Level Test Engineer

Our responsibilities span the full-stack spectrum including back-end data services and front-end development using Agile and DevOps best practices.
As a member of an Agile Development Team, you will participate in planning and executing Agile-based verification activities that ensure we deliver quality and accurate software to our end-users that meet established acceptance criteria, architecture, requirements, and our user’s operational needs. Working with other teams, end-users, operational Subject Matter Experts (SME), and stakeholders during each Sprint and Program Increment (PI), you will collaborate to provide state-of-the-art solutions to the operational field.
Responsibilities
- Develop, document, review, and execute comprehensive automated and manual tests that thoroughly test software functionality, interfaces, integration with other components, behaviors, and error handling.
- Develop and execute formal tests for releases that demonstrate complete functionality as determined by established Feature Acceptance Criteria, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and operational needs.
- Collaborate with software development teams including Product Owners, Systems Engineers, Subject Matter Experts, and Government testers.
- Develop and document comprehensive test plans, procedures, and test artifacts to ensure software meets Acceptance Criteria and applicable requirements.
- Create and maintain test automation environment and automated test scripts.
- Prepare, analyze, document, and report test results.
- Work with software development teams to identify and debug issues found during testing, and coordinate activities to resolve issues based upon priorities and processes.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to ensure system testing reflects end-user needs.
- Validate fixes and ensure corrections of defects are effective and do not introduce new issues.
- Assess software performance and behavior under various conditions, including real-world conditions and error handling.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to improve product design, functionality, and usability based on test outcomes.
- Facilitate and participate in meetings to discuss test plans and results with stakeholders.
- Stay current with new testing tools and test strategies, particularly regarding software test automation.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, US DoD Secret or Higher.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related scientific discipline and six (6) years of experience.
Skills
Required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills working with complicated data sets.
- Creativity and curiosity in finding software and system flaws.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly explain difficult technical issues.
- Working knowledge of Agile software development and test methodologies, and DevSecOps practices.
- Understanding of TDD principles.
- Proficiency with Application Lifecycle Management tools such as Azure DevOps and Jira.
- Experience with automated test tools such as Playwright JS, Cucumber JS, Gherkin, Gherkin Reports, or Mud Blazor.
Nice to have
- Python, C#, and AngularJS (optional).
- Interest in civil/military flight operations and aeronautical data.
Schedule
- Our team works on a compressed 9/80 schedule.
- Hybrid with at least 2 days in office at the Nashua location are required.
- Work may require occasional travel.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $90,000.00 to $110,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
