Associate Legal Operations Processor

About the role

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Legal Operations Processor within Consumer Banking and Lending Operations. This role supports experienced processors with various operational tasks, such as responding to legal orders, improving work processes, providing administrative and operational support, and collaborating with peers and managers.

Responsibilities

• Supports experienced processors with various operational tasks, responding to legal orders while adhering to timeframes and state statutes requirements.
• Seeks ways to improve work processes within established procedures.
• Performs routine administrative, operational, and customer support tasks related to legal orders.
• Trains less experienced processors on internal processes and external state-specific statutes.
• Collaborates and consults with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
• Interacts with internal customers.
• Receives direction from supervisors and escalates questions and issues to more experienced roles.

Requirements

• 6+ months of Legal Operations support experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Desired Qualifications

• Previous experience in home lending.
• Knowledge and understanding of processing and handling summon and subpoenas.
• Ability to interact with external requestors, primarily through phone calls.
• Ability to read and interpret legal documents.
• Ability to identify potential operational issues and legal risks.
• Experience managing a pipeline of work from assignment to completion.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills.
• Ability to execute in a fast-paced, high-demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities.
• Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment.

Job Expectations

• Schedule: Monday-Friday within 7:30am - 4:00pm or 4:30pm with an hour lunch. Frequent opportunities for overtime, may become required due to business need and volume of the department.
• Training: 6-8 weeks of in-depth on-the-job training and coaching to learn about Wells Fargo banking products, procedures, and services. Training hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday.
• Position is Hybrid after training period A/B. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
