About the role
The position is an Associate Lecturer/Lecturer/Senior Lecturer at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UWSP) within the College of Natural Resources. Applications are accepted for future part-time positions, and applications are kept on file for future consideration.
Responsibilities
Facilitates classroom, online, and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance. Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction. Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations.
Requirements
- Master’s degree with relevant experience in areas such as Forestry, Soil & Waste Resources, Wildlife Ecology, Fisheries & Water Resources, and Environmental Education and Interpretation.
- Formal or informal teaching experience, including the delivery of outreach, extension, or similar community-oriented programming.
- Preferred qualifications include possession of a terminal degree in a natural resources discipline, or professional experience equivalent to 5 years in one, or a combination, of the following sectors: Forest Management, Environmental Education or Interpretation, Natural Resource Planning, Policy, or Sustainable Energy, Soil, Land, or Waste Management, Wildlife Management or Captive Wildlife, Water Resource Management, Fisheries Management, Paper Science Manufacturing or Chemical/Environmental Engineering, Teaching experience in a primary or secondary classroom (kindergarten through grade 12).

The Associate Lecturer/Lecturer/Senior Lecturer is a part-time, salaried, exempt, academic year (9-month), instructional academic staff position. Eligible Universities of Wisconsin employees receive an excellent benefits package.
Schedule
The teaching hours for an associate lecturer/lecturer/senior lecturer will vary with a teaching load ranging between 1-12 credits per semester. While the announcement lists this position as on-site, partially remote and remote opportunities may be available.
