Associate Lecturer in Digital & Motion Design

About the role

We are expanding our pool of sessional Creative Lecturers to contribute to teaching on the BA (Hons) Graphic Design course during the 2026-27 academic year.

• Video editing

Software expertise

• Adobe After Effects
• Maxon Cinema 4D
• Adobe Premiere Pro
• Apple Final Cut Pro

Ideal experience

We encourage applications from candidates whose portfolios demonstrate:

• Strong storytelling skills and creative thinking
• Experience creating websites, motion, and video content for brands that incorporate visual identity systems
• Understanding of the creative process and responding to client briefs

Selection process

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to:

• Deliver a 15-minute teaching session on a contemporary Digital & Motion Design topic aimed at level 5 undergraduates
• Participate in a formal interview

Candidates are expected to demonstrate:

• Learning and teaching skills suitable for a lecturing post
• Depth of understanding of their chosen topic
• Familiarity with academic sources related to the topic

If successful, you will join a pool of sessional lecturers and be contacted when suitable work arises. Employment is not guaranteed and depends on student numbers; hours may be limited to a few per week.
