Associate - Junior-Level

About the role

Arnold & Porter is seeking a junior‑level associate for the Real Estate Practice Group in the Seattle office. The associate will join a growing, nationally ranked practice, working on complex and sophisticated transactions alongside collegial, team‑oriented attorneys who are invested in the associate’s growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Manage components of lender or borrower side mortgage and mezzanine financings.
• Handle real estate acquisitions and dispositions.
• Conduct real estate leasing transactions.
• Participate in joint venture deals.
• Work directly with clients throughout transaction processes.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of experience working on commercial real estate transactions.
• Demonstrated ability to work both in teams and independently.
• Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Exceptional business acumen and client‑facing experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent academic credentials and professional references.
• Current license to practice law in Washington, or eligibility to become licensed.

Compensation

• Salary range: $225,000 – $260,000, commensurate with experience.
• Eligibility for an hours‑based bonus.
