Associate Incoming Materials Inspection Technician

About the role

Assist in the receipt and initial quality inspection of PacStar inventory. Work with the Incoming Materials Inspection team to ensure the highest quality of incoming inventory. Location: Portland, OR - Onsite.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical inspection for defects
• Work within established inspection criteria and sample plan for incoming materials
• Test electrical and data cables
• Document and maintain first article archive
• Inspect and evaluate first-articles
• Record non-conforming materials
• Report inspection findings and vendor source information to senior members of the Incoming Materials Inspection team
• Present quality status to senior members of the Incoming Materials Inspection team
• Participate in the MRB Program
• Know, practice, and advocate for all site safety rules and regulations
• Performance requires physical attendance
• Performance requires extended hours and occasional weekend work
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 1+ years Quality Control experience, required
• Demonstrated ability to meet and maintain high quality standards for incoming materials
• Experience with relevant ISO, Six Sigma, and MIL standards for quality control is a plus
• Experience with simple mechanical inspection is required
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings is required
• Experience with measurement and inspection tools is required
• Proficient with MS Office
• Ability to lift and carry 35 pounds at least 40 feet
• Ability to multi-task and manage various project-related duties
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to type a minimum of 25 to 30 WPM
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail is a must
• Must be able to self-organize workloads and manage all deadlines
