Associate - Immigration

About the Role

BakerHostetler’s Columbus office is seeking an Immigration associate with 2–4 years of relevant experience to join its nationally recognized Labor and Employment Group, highly ranked by Chambers USA and Best Law Firms. A strong interest and background in employment-based immigration is important.

Responsibilities

• Secure temporary work visas and permanent residency (green card) solutions for foreign nationals.
• Advise employers on complex I-9 compliance and E-Verify requirements.
• Prepare and file H-1B, L-1A, L-1B, E-2, TN, and O-1 petitions, as well as permanent residence applications, including PERM, I-140, and I-485 matters.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience practicing employment-based immigration law.
• J.D. from an accredited law school with a strong academic record.
• Active license to practice law in Ohio.
