SCHEELS is a leader in the sporting goods industry, offering the largest selection of sports brands in America. This position focuses on maintaining a high standard of confidentiality and respect for privacy, professionally processing completed applications, and assisting with VISA-related tasks.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a high standard of confidentiality and respect for privacy when working with customers.
- Professionally process completed applications, complete the checkout process, and be knowledgeable to answer questions and address potential issues relating to the VISA program.
- Stock VISA materials daily throughout the store.
- Execute Card Member Appreciation Days or other special promotions at a high level according to standards set by the bank and Scheels Corporate Office.
- Maintain an orderly appearance of personal work space and surrounding areas.
- Maintain an energetic and sense of urgency approach to daily tasks, projects, and follow-up communication.
- Show respect and appreciation for others and Scheels.
- Adapt to a changing work environment and apply concepts of basic math, grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Communicate procedures and answer questions and offer to associates, customers, and the general public.
- Be professional in appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere, and treat others with respect and consideration while following Scheels' policies and procedures.
- Calculate figures and amounts including but not limited to discounts, percentages, interest, commissions, proportions, and volume.
- Apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.
- Use Microsoft Office programs such as Excel and learn Google systems like Drive, Google Docs, etc.
- Work during the hours of 8am – 9pm Monday through Saturday, 11am – 7pm on Sundays.

- Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
- Must be available to work during the hours of 8am – 9pm Monday through Saturday, 11am – 7pm on Sundays.
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of an associate’s degree from a 2-year college or technical school; or 1-2 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
