Associate I, Lab Support

About the role

The Associate I, Lab Support performs cGMP laboratory support activities including Sample Accessioning, Product Reserve management, Temperature Monitoring of storage chambers, Glassware Cleaning, Supply Inventory management, and may assist with Stability Studies and other QC initiatives. This role operates under GMP conditions and provides customer support to QC analysts.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer support functions for QC laboratories such as cleaning glassware, custodial services, monitoring temperature-controlled chambers, shipping samples, sample preparation, and administrative support.
• Perform QC functions for product, including assisting with Stability, Appearance, and Reserve programs, sample accessioning, and providing information to internal and external customers.
• Adhere to cGMP practices in documentation and execution of job functions.
• Complete documentation to ensure compliance with specifications and procedures.
• Perform other assigned QC Lab Support initiatives.
• Train to become an appearance inspector and perform appearance inspections.
• Interact with others within and outside the department to provide customer support on issues related to department functions.
• Ensure assigned Laboratory Support areas meet all regulatory requirements by verifying procedures, recordkeeping, maintenance, and identifying new requirements.
• Assist in other functions as assigned by the Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, or related scientific field.
• 1-3 years of experience in a regulated laboratory setting preferred.
• Previous work experience in a regulated environment (FDA, EPA, etc.) is preferred.
• Familiarity with GLP and GMP guidelines.
