About the role

This is a fully dedicated global role—not a dual-hatted position—reporting directly to the Head of Global External Stakeholder Engagement. The position supports the global Cross Border Engagement Review (CBER) process and serves as the initial reviewer for all US-led CBER submissions. The role involves partnering with CBER Committee Reviewers, local/country-level approvers, and CBER Steering Committee members to coordinate submissions and reviews.

Responsibilities

• Independent management, organization, and administration of the CBER process, including intake and distribution of all CBER requests in the Global CBER portal.
• Ensure all CBER submissions are complete, qualify for CBER, and contain all required documentation prior to distribution to CBER Reviewers.
• Coordinate review/input for all countries implicated in the CBER request.
• Interact directly and frequently with CBER Committee Reviewers, Local Country-level Reviewers, and Business Requestors to assist with questions related to CBER submissions.
• Provide explanations and details of requests to applicable committee members.
• Provide status updates to Business Requestors upon request.
• Relay review-related input from Local Country-level Reviewers to CBER Committee members for assessment.
• Follow up on outstanding requests and communicate final CBER Committee determinations to Business Requestors.
• Conduct close-out of all submissions, ensuring necessary documentation is obtained, included in the electronic file, and maintained per record retention requirements.
• Conduct an independent initial review (“first line review”) of all planned CBER requests from DSI Business Requestors to determine if they (1) require CBER review and (2) comply with applicable healthcare laws/regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
• Make decisions/provide feedback to CBER requestors regarding actions to be taken on each request.
• Flag issues pertaining to anti-kickback, false claim, and transparency reporting laws/regulations for additional DSI Compliance or Legal Affairs review.
• Provide customer support and assistance with questions related to the global CBER portal.

Requirements

• Knowledge of U.S. healthcare rules, particularly as they relate to payments and engagements with HCPs, customers, and patients.
• A minimum of one to two years of pharmaceutical industry experience, with a strong preference for experience in compliance, legal affairs, or policy.
• Familiarity with laws or industry guidance governing interactions with healthcare professionals and/or knowledge of pharmaceutical marketing and sales activities.
• Bachelor of Science degree (preferably in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting).
• Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and manage a high volume of high-risk reviews.

Schedule

• Average of 20 hours per week; hours may increase to 40 hours per week depending on coverage needs.
• 100% remote; preferred EST time zone.
• Schedule: 10 AM–2 PM EST, Monday–Friday.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $30–$38/hour, dependent on location, experience, and expectations.
