Cipriani & Werner is a multidisciplinary law firm recognized for understanding and meeting client needs. The Woodbridge Office in Iselin, NJ seeks an NY/NJ Associate to support the growing team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new files
• Client communications
• Discovery production
• Research and prepare legal memoranda on various areas of law
• Prepare and argue discovery
• Substantive, dispositive pre- and post-trial motions and appeals
• Attend pretrial listings
• Motions and trial

Requirements

• JD degree from an ABA-approved law school
• Active license in good standing in New York
• Admission to the New Jersey Bar preferred
• 6+ years of NY General Liability litigation experience required
• NJ General Liability litigation experience preferred
• Experience in NY and NJ commercial motor vehicle defense, UM/UIM, premises liability, construction accident, and product liability preferred
• Trial experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, ProLaw, Excel, and e-document management software preferred
• Self-motivated independent thinker with excellent time management and strong organizational skills
• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to work as a team member in a high-volume fast-paced work environment

Pay

The salary range for this position is $140,000–$180,000. Actual compensation will depend on factors including experience and qualifications.
