Associate/Full Professor Academic Clinician General Anesthesiology - CHOP

About the role

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track.

Responsibilities

• Expertise in Pediatric Anesthesiology
• ABA certification with subspecialty certification or board eligibility in Pediatric Anesthesiology and Pennsylvania licensure required
• Teaching responsibilities include formal didactic lectures and informal teaching of medical students, residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals in the Operating Rooms
• Attendance and participation in presentations, small groups, simulation sessions, and/or multidisciplinary conferences is expected
• Direct patient care and medical direction in the Operating Rooms and other anesthetizing locations at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia
• Practice locations include the Philadelphia and King of Prussia campuses

Requirements

Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree.

Qualifications

Impactful contributions to clinical care and education, development of an Area of Concentration (AoC), recognition within the field.

Skills

Strong clinical skills, excellent teaching abilities, ability to contribute to research and education.
