Associate Fire Alarm Inspector

About the role

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an Associate Fire Alarm Inspector to assist with inspection and maintenance capabilities. This position will work closely with our sales team, field project teams, and clients to ensure our customers’ systems are inspected and maintained in a code‑compliant manner. This is a key position for our growing team and requires attention to detail in all aspects of executing projects. Customer and employee interface requires a high degree of effective human relations. Communication skills, both verbal and written, are important elements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Assist with reviewing system layouts and coordinating with the systems and service departments for successful testing and inspection.
• Assist with testing and maintaining fire alarm systems.
• Assist with delivering testing on schedule and within cost budgets.
• Responsible for logging and transmitting inspection reports via technical device.
• Work under tight deadlines.
• Comply with standards and procedures of industry and Sciens safety programs/policies.

Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Interest in learning and growing in the fire‑life safety industry.
• Ability to obtain knowledge of NFPA code requirements.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and ability to obtain OSHA 10 certification.
• Good organizational, decision‑making, and communication skills.
• Physically fit to perform demanding work: frequent lifting up to 25 lb, occasional lifting up to 50 lb; able to work from heights, climb ladders; standing and walking for most of the workday.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines with a sense of urgency.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Pay

$22‑$30 per hour based on experience.
