ASSOCIATE FIELD ENGINEER

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide hardware support, installations, and upgrades of all Everpure Storage and Cirrus equipment
  • Schedule installation engagements and coordinate the delivery of parts
  • Perform installation and configuration of Everpure storage equipment (unboxing, lifting, racking/stacking, etc.)
  • Interact with IT customers and TSP technical team members, including presales, services, and support organizations
  • Impact extends to customer technical representatives, including systems administrators and technical managers

Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED is required; degree in computer science, information technology, or any technical field preferred
  • Technical skills in the areas of storage, server, and networking technologies
  • Understanding storage protocols including FC, iSCSI, NFS, SMB, and S3
  • Experience with hardware installation and software configuration
  • Experience creating a run book, design workbook, and statement of work
  • Reliable, proactive, and possess the ability to take ownership of multiple engagements
  • Able to work as a team player and effectively allocate time and resources to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with VMware, Microsoft Windows Server, and Linux
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Citrix Xen Desktop, VMware, Oracle, SQL

Additional Information

  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to lift and install equipment (up to 75 pounds) into customer racks
  • Must be fluent in English
