Associate Executive Director
About the role
The Associate Executive Director for Brightview will embrace the vision, mission and vibrancy of the organization and will help lead a team in creating and maintaining a vibrant and engaging living environment for Brightview residents and a great place to work for its Associates. This position will support our growing market in Northern New Jersey, covering our communities in Wayne, Warren, Tenafly, Paramus and Randolph.
Responsibilities
- Work in an entrepreneurial environment and be empowered to assist with leading your community with creativity and independence.
- Help the Executive Director oversee day-to-day business operations to ensure exceptional quality and service, sustained resident satisfaction and associate engagement, operational efficiency, and strong financial results.
- Be involved in every facet of the operation – Hospitality, Health Services, Dining, Programming, Sales, Maintenance, and the Business Office.
- Leverage existing leadership, management, and customer service skills while gaining the experience and information needed to be successful as an Executive Director in this region.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Brightview’s policies and procedures and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring and training associates; planning, assigning and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints; and resolving problems.
- Supervise three to five department heads directly and assist the Executive Director with the direction of the remaining Department Heads and all other associates as indirect reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent experience.
- One to three years of management experience in a similar environment.
- Proficient in MS Office products, internet and industry-specific software programs for marketing, payroll and accounts payable/receivable.
- Meet state licensing requirements (where applicable).
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and manage multiple tasks.
- Problem analysis and resolution at both strategic and functional levels.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English.
Pay
Salary Range: USD $105,000.00 – USD $115,000.00 per year. The salary range reflects potential pay for this role and does not include bonuses or additional incentives (if applicable), nor does it include the value of our benefit program. Offers will consider factors like experience, qualifications, location, community size (if relevant), certifications/training, etc. Brightview regularly reviews and adjusts compensation ranges.
