Associate, Equity Assistant Trader & Operations Administrator

Global asset management firm seeking a detail-oriented Associate to support equity trading and operations. Responsible for trade execution, portfolio performance analysis, and reporting. Work closely with front, middle, and back-office teams to ensure accuracy and compliance.

About the role

This role supports the Equity team across trade execution, portfolio analysis, and operational functions. The Associate will ensure accurate and timely execution of trades, monitor portfolio performance, and support data management and reporting processes. The position partners closely with front, middle, and back-office teams to maintain operational integrity and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Execute and process equity trades in coordination with internal teams and external brokers
• Monitor and analyze portfolio performance, including attribution and allocation
• Track cash positions and maintain performance-related databases
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of trade settlements and reporting
• Collaborate with operations, compliance, and IT teams on process improvements and automation initiatives
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for internal stakeholders
• Support equity research analysts and operations teams with administrative and analytical tasks
• Maintain strong adherence to internal controls, risk management, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
• 3–4+ years of experience in financial services, with exposure to trading or investment operations
• Prior experience in equities, trading, portfolio management, or related areas
• Solid understanding of equity markets and financial instruments
• Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency in MS Office
• Experience with Bloomberg or similar financial tools required
• Familiarity with trading systems (e.g., AIM) and tools such as VBA, SQL, or data analytics platforms is a plus
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

Pay

Base Salary: $100,000 – $110,000. Eligible for discretionary bonus based on performance.

Schedule

Hybrid schedule (minimum 3 days in-office). Flexibility required based on business needs.
