About the role
Taft is seeking an associate with 1-4 years of experience to join its comprehensive Employment and Labor Relations practice group in the Cincinnati office. The ideal candidate will have experience with, or a desire to focus on, traditional management-side labor law and occupational safety and health. Experience in wage and hour collective and class actions would be a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on employment and labor law matters
- Assist in the drafting and negotiation of employment contracts and policies
- Represent clients in labor relations disputes and arbitrations
- Advise on compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws
- Prepare and review workplace policies and procedures
- Participate in investigations and mediations related to employment issues
- Conduct training sessions on employment law topics
Requirements
- Exceptional academic and professional credentials
- Superior research, writing, analytical, and verbal communication skills
Qualifications
- Law degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to practice law in Ohio
- Experience in traditional management-side labor law and occupational safety and health
- Experience in wage and hour collective and class actions is a plus
