About the role

Taft is seeking an associate with 1-4 years of experience to join its comprehensive Employment and Labor Relations practice group in the Cincinnati office. The ideal candidate will have experience with, or a desire to focus on, traditional management-side labor law and occupational safety and health. Experience in wage and hour collective and class actions would be a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on employment and labor law matters
  • Assist in the drafting and negotiation of employment contracts and policies
  • Represent clients in labor relations disputes and arbitrations
  • Advise on compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws
  • Prepare and review workplace policies and procedures
  • Participate in investigations and mediations related to employment issues
  • Conduct training sessions on employment law topics

Requirements

  • Exceptional academic and professional credentials
  • Superior research, writing, analytical, and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

  • Law degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to practice law in Ohio
  • Experience in traditional management-side labor law and occupational safety and health
  • Experience in wage and hour collective and class actions is a plus
