Labor Relations Associate
About the role
RCM Healthcare Services is seeking a Labor Relations Associate for a full-time, permanent opportunity with a large healthcare organization in New York City. This role will support the Labor Relations team with employee and labor relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary actions, union matters, investigations, hearings, and labor-management activities. The ideal candidate will have prior Human Resources or Labor Relations experience within a unionized environment and be comfortable working with managers, employees, union representatives, and other internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Support labor and employee relations activities, including grievances, disciplinary matters, investigations, employee complaints, hearings, and arbitration matters.
- Work with union representatives and other internal and external stakeholders regarding labor relations issues and assist with Labor-Management meetings.
- Assist managers with counseling sessions, warnings, performance management, dispute resolution, and other employee relations matters.
- Maintain and organize documentation, track deadlines, prepare reports and presentations, and provide support during hearings and meetings.
- Assist with HR policies, collective bargaining agreements, labor regulations, workplace violence prevention initiatives, OSHA reporting, and other compliance-related activities.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Personnel Administration, Public Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Management, Business, Law, or a related discipline. Preferred: Master's Degree in a related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor Relations, Employee Relations, Human Resources, and/or Personnel Administration. Experience working in a unionized workplace and supporting labor relations matters is required.

Pay
Salary Range: $65,000 – $75,000 per year
Schedule
Monday through Friday, Full-Time, Hybrid work arrangement (2 days a week in NYC office and 3 days a week remote).
