Associate Emergency Veterinarian (Hospitalist)

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing inpatients and managing cases transferring from the ER and specialty departments
  • Updating clients and referral partners on inpatient status
  • Partnering with emergency service to see appointments when appropriate
  • Working with the hospital leadership team to optimize clinical workflow and standard operating procedures
  • Contributing to the ongoing education of clinical team members
  • Embracing and being a role model for our core values of Teamwork, Leadership, and Compassion

Qualifications

  • Internship-trained and/or 3–5 years of experience in a primary emergency or emergency/specialty hospital

In addition to 24/7 Emergency services, MedVet Dayton offers specialty services in: Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, Ophthalmology, Radiology, Rehabilitation, and Surgery. We are AAHA accredited and provide care to more than 15,000 patients each year.
