Key Responsibilities

  • Build, program, troubleshoot, and commission PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
  • Develop and maintain automation solutions using Siemens PCS7, TIA Portal, Ignition, and Aveva PI Historian.
  • Support system improvements, upgrades, and operational reliability initiatives.
  • Assist with electrical installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and facilities.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues involving electrical systems, instrumentation, and control logic.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and IT teams to support automation and operational technology systems.
  • Participate in all phases of projects, including design, installation, commissioning, and closeout.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and in compliance with company standards.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field plus 1 year of automation/controls experience; OR 5+ years of automation/controls experience and 1+ year of electrical experience.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA systems, preferably Siemens and/or Allen-Bradley platforms. Knowledge of Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram (FBD), and/or Structured Text (ST). Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical drawings. Python, SQL, or scripting experience is a plus.
  • Additional Requirements: Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record. Strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Comfortable working in industrial environments and at heights when required.
