Associate - eFX Sales, TD Securities
Work location: New York, New York, United States of America. Full-time position (40 hours per week) within TD Securities.
About the role
The Associate - eFX Sales will support the Electronic Foreign Exchange (eFX) sales desk in monitoring, analyzing, and enhancing the performance of our electronic client business. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams within the broader FX business. The successful candidate will help advance our electronic offering and contribute to the growth of our eFX platform. This position reports directly to the VP of eFX Sales in New York.
Responsibilities
- Client coverage – once ready, start to cover your own pool of accounts, working on maximizing the value to the business.
- Reporting/data – assist with data mining for both ad hoc and scheduled client reports.
- Client calls/meetings – help with preparation work, attend calls/meetings, assist with write-ups and follow-up actions.
- Platform monitoring – help identify ongoing issues or client configuration needs.
- Algo execution – become an expert in algo execution and help monitor client activity.
- Platform analysis – work with vendors to maximize platform data and identify low-hanging fruit.
- Client prospecting – help identify new clients or introduce existing FX accounts to eFX.
- Challenge existing processes – propose process improvements and identify areas for straight-through processing (STP).
- Marketing materials – create new materials for clients and update existing marketing content.
- Shadow wider sales & trading to better understand day-to-day responsibilities.
- Gather, research, and analyze market information to provide in-depth reports and expert recommendations.
- Identify issues affecting clients and provide recommendations to remedy them.
- Develop deep client relationships and present new ideas to clients.
- Execute trades and secure deals with new clients.
- Keep market-making traders informed of relevant client and product issues.
- Obtain market prices from traders and execute trades.
- Ensure all trades are confirmed with the broker/dealer and meet company policies.
- Input trades post-execution and verify transactions follow approved guidelines.
- Research and resolve trade discrepancies.
- Confirm trade blotters against trades booked in systems.
- Coordinate with the back office on failed trade status and communicate updates to the front office.
- Assist with position breaks and report to the front office.
- Support traders in the mark-to-market process.
- Coordinate trade reconciliation discrepancy resolution with the back office.
- Identify ways to improve workflow efficiencies.
- Read and understand the Trading Supervision Standard.
- Demonstrate governance, control, and risk management behaviors in alignment with TD policies and practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or specialized training/equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of related experience.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, establish priorities, and possess strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Management experience and solid computer skills.

Pay
Base pay range: $150,000 - $200,000 USD. The base pay offered may vary based on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, geographic location, and other business and organizational needs.
