About the role

The Key Account Sales Associate works with multi-location mainstream food service or retail clients selling Wismettac's new and diverse food products. You will develop an understanding of the client's needs, educate them on Wismettac's products and services, and ensure the company achieves its ambitious sales growth aspirations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an understanding of the client's needs and educate them on Wismettac's products and services.
  • Maintain existing customers in assigned areas.
  • Coordinate sales activities and promotions with other employees and administrators of the company as well as customers and clients of the company concerning their needs, concerns, and schedules.
  • Travel to customers and potential customer's facilities to provide information and support as required to secure and maintain business.
  • Establish, maintain, and develop business, social, and civic relationships with customers in the assigned territory to maximize profitability.
  • Sell Wismettac products to all customers in the assigned territory.
  • Grow business by anticipating customer needs, determining appropriate solutions to business problems, and providing an overall high level of customer service.
  • Understand and execute the sales plan and price adjustments based on management's instructions.
  • Communicate plans to customers and effectively manage resources to support sales volume.
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, information, or feedback gathering through field activity to appropriate company staff.
  • Cooperate with the accounting department to ensure the collection of accounts receivable due.
  • Aid in customer/product development by collaborating with internal teams (Sales HQ, PMD, and PSSD) to provide the best solution to the customer to optimize the demand generation/creation effectiveness of the product line.
  • Cooperate with assigned office and logistic staff to achieve territory sales goals.
  • Provide timely reporting of activities in the field to assist in business and product planning.
  • Submit sales activity reports and other reports as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 0 to 3 years of related sales experience
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Valid US driver's license (Canada driver's license for Canadian positions)

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Effective communication and cooperative working skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under various time constraints
  • Ability to perform job responsibilities as the workload fluctuates; multitask and keep projects progressing simultaneously
  • Outgoing, courteous, genuine, and approachable personality
  • Self-confident and mature attitude with a positive work ethic

Skills

  • Microsoft applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Effective communication and conversation skills
  • Ability to be cooperative and work as part of a team
  • Ability to verify, draft, and update database quickly and accurately
  • Ability to travel to customer's location
  • Ability to learn Oracle ERP software
  • Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under various time constraints
  • Ability to perform their job responsibilities as the workload fluctuates; multitask and keep projects progressing simultaneously
  • Outgoing, courteous, genuine, and approachable personality
  • Self-confident and mature attitude with a positive work ethic
