About the role

The American Physical Society (APS) is a nonprofit membership organization advancing physics through a vibrant, inclusive, global community of >50,000 physicists in academia, national labs, and industry worldwide. Physical Review Letters (PRL) is APS’s flagship journal and the world’s premier physics letter journal, publishing key results since 1958, many of which have led to Nobel prizes. As an Associate Editor, you would manage the full peer‑review process for manuscripts, decide which papers are published, work with a close‑knit editorial team, stay engaged with the physics community through meetings and visits, participate in editorial initiatives and cross‑departmental APS projects, and represent the journal at conferences.
