Associate Division Manager to Direct Support Professionals

About the role

TMI is dedicated to assisting children and adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. The primary purpose is to support these individuals in living, working, and participating in their community. Key aspects include promoting independence, providing meaningful work, and fostering a safe and caring environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to clients 30-50% of daily schedule.
  • Manage caseload by maintaining confidential client files, monitoring monthly attendance, and ensuring accuracy in TMI database.
  • Develop and implement annual plan, goals, and objectives for clients.
  • Schedule and participate in client-required meetings such as 30-Day, semi-annual, annual, and IPP meetings.
  • Complete monthly client billing for services provided.
  • Submit monthly progress reports to Department of Rehabilitation and/or Regional Center.
  • Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly reports to the Director of Supported Employment.
  • Create individualized job search plans and related materials.
  • Build relationships with family, friends, neighbors, and community members through a circle of support.
  • Support clients' choices and interests by identifying and implementing preferred activities.
  • Communicate with clients' families, the Regional Center, and other public service agencies.
  • Train and guide supervised employees.
  • Ensure progress notes are completed and submitted to division managers.

General Essential Duties

  • Aid HR Department in obtaining and completing required documents.
  • Attend mandatory meetings and trainings including staff meetings, management meetings, team meetings, CPR, First Aid, AED certification, and Relias.
  • Enter personal timesheets and mileage reimbursement into web-based systems.
  • Maintain communication with supervisor and members of the clients’ planning team.
  • Notify supervisor of any changes to work schedule or client schedule.
  • Respond promptly to urgent calls from supervisor and calls/texts/emails from clients or planning team.
  • Drive personal vehicle to clients’ homes, place of employment, and other community resources as needed.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience in social services or education.
  • Experience: 2 years working in social services or education with bachelor’s degree, or 3 years with an associate’s degree, or 4 years without postsecondary education.
  • Driving: 3 years driving experience, if applicable.
