Core Job Functions
- Partners with local organizations to develop employment, internship, or co-op opportunities for students and alumni.
- Oversees the management and dissemination of current information regarding educational opportunities and community mentor initiatives.
- Provides individual counseling to students and graduates regarding career planning and job searches, including self-assessment, resume and cover letter review, interview preparation, professional skills development, and career research and options.
- Creates and presents variety of career programs and workshops.
- Plans events to facilitate networking opportunities with employers and build networking skills for students.
- Affords assistance with the collection and reporting of information, statistics, and data on an ongoing basis and for various annual reports.
- Serves as liaison to student organizations and faculty members.
- Participates in the creation of handouts, marketing materials, and other resources.
- Contributes to the long-range planning and goals of the department.
- Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures.
- Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.
Core Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required.
- Certification and Licensing: Refer To Department Description For Applicable Certification Requirements.
- Experience: Minimum 4 Years Of Relevant Experience Required.
