About The Team

We are the Operations backbone of HR Corporate Systems responsible for the stability, reliability, and performance of AT&T's most critical HR, Payroll, and GWS platforms — a portfolio of 100+ applications and 500+ integrations. We keep the systems that pay, support, and retain AT&T's workforce running with zero tolerance for extended outages, while shifting the team from reactive firefighting to proactive, automation-driven operations powered by Agentic AI.

Responsibilities

  • Own operational stability of HR/HR-legacy and Payroll applications — high availability, minimal downtime, incident response, Tier 3 escalation, root cause analysis, and resiliency improvements across aging platforms.
  • Lead a blended onshore/offshore (India IDC) team to maintain 24/7 coverage — building runbooks, SOPs, escalation protocols, and handoff procedures that account for the 10.5-hour time difference.
  • Consolidate L1 & L2 operations — triage, monitoring, and incident response across all HR & GWS apps, including agentic AI MCP server orchestration.
  • Govern SLAs and release management — standardized deployment processes, DBA operations (Workday, Infor, SAP, Databricks, Oracle), and consolidated SLA enforcement.
  • Drive operational excellence & automation — runbook automation, proactive monitoring/alerting, self-healing infrastructure, and AI adoption across the team.
  • Manage people & vendors — hiring, performance reviews, career development, disciplinary action, and vendor/stakeholder coordination during upgrades and migrations.

Requirements

  • Experience in operations management, production support, and enterprise application support.
  • 5+ years of direct supervisory/management experience, including leading distributed/offshore teams.
  • Familiarity with incident & change management frameworks, monitoring tools, and enterprise application support.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, engineering, or related field.
  • Independent judgment in mission-critical environments, cross-time-zone team leadership, strong documentation discipline, and clear escalation communication.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Hands-on experience supporting systems and legacy applications.
  • Certifications: ITIL Foundation (or higher), PMP, or similar operational/PM certifications.
