Your Department

AJC's Regional Offices connect the local communities with AJC’s global advocacy work to enhance the well-being of the Jewish people and Israel. We maintain the agency's nationwide presence by attracting leaders and donors to AJC, enhancing the organization’s influence with key local, national, and international decision makers and stakeholders, implementing advocacy initiatives at the state and local level, and establishing and nurturing community relationships.

Your Impact

This position makes an impact at AJC by planning and managing work with significant impact on the organization's mission and goals; may supervise direct reports. Works with moderate latitude to solve moderately complex and complex problems and make significant impact decisions. Incumbents plan and manage programs, projects, initiatives, and events that advance AJC’s mission and advocacy efforts. Working with autonomy, an Associate Director is responsible for planning and executing departmental strategies, engaging and communicating with influential stakeholders, and building coalitions and partnerships.

Your Role

Contribute to the development and execution of the department's strategy, goals, objectives, and action plans
Develop, manage, and facilitate advocacy and outreach programs, projects, initiatives, events, meetings, trainings, and/or missions
Identify and implement new opportunities to expand departmental initiatives beyond existing programs
May participate and support the work of Boards, committees, task forces, or working groups
Leverage resources to help build awareness of and support for the AJC and department initiatives
Maintain and manage team’s programmatic spending
Create reports and analyze programmatic activities, metrics, and impact
Research, monitor, and report on developments, issues, and trends impacting the department and AJC priorities

Specific to This Role
Will staff public policy committee;
Assist with media outreach and communications;
Work with k-12 schools in addressing antisemitism;
Interact with law enforcement.

Education, Training, And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree
    Requires minimum of 8 years of experience, developing job skills and knowledge, and intermediate leadership skills

Career Path

The salary for this position is $100,000 - $120,000 depending on relevant experience and location.
