Associate Director, Program Management

About the Role

RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, is seeking an Associate Director for the Terrain Following Radars Program Area. This role reports directly to the Executive Director of Surveillance & Tactical Radars Solutions (STaRS) and is a highly visible position within the Radio Frequency Solutions business unit in Advanced Products and Solutions. You will set strategy, vision, and direction for successful execution focused on product affordability, integrity, and on-time deliveries to enable near, mid, and long-term business growth. This role is based in McKinney, TX.

Responsibilities

• Accountability for profit and loss, AOP development and execution, and EAC inputs
• Coordinating and aligning interactions, dependencies, and transactions between customers and other primes
• Developing and executing program growth strategies for domestic and international growth
• Understanding and representing customer needs to leadership
• Building and maintaining excellent relationships with customer counterparts
• Managing risk, opportunity, cost, quality, and schedule performance
• Supporting domestic travel as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience
• Program management experience leading development, transition to production, production, and/or sustainment programs
• Experience managing cost, schedule, and technical performance for programs using tools such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Plan (IMP), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Risk and Opportunity Management, Scope Board, or similar business processes
• Experience leading cross-functional teams (e.g., Engineering, Contracts, Finance, Procurement/Supply Chain, Manufacturing/Operations, Quality Management, Logistics, Data Management, or administrative functions)

Preferred Qualifications

• Program Management Level 3 Certification or ability to obtain within one year
• Proven success creating and maintaining strong executive-level relationships with suppliers, customers, government representatives, primes, and internal peers
• Experience working with U.S. Army, Navy, or other government customers on large/complex programs with direct customer interfaces
• Experience developing and implementing execution, coordination, and growth strategies for franchise programs
• Oversight and monitoring of supplier performance; developing preventive and corrective actions as necessary

Pay

The salary range for this role is $157,200 – $298,800 USD. The range is representative of all experience levels, and RTX considers factors such as role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills when extending an offer.
