Summary Of Responsibilities
The U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) is seeking an Associate Director of Product to serve as a strategic thought leader and bridge between business strategy and product execution for the Team USA ecosystem of digital products.
- Oversee the strategy and build of existing Team USA digital products (websites and DAM) as well as new Team USA digital products including an app and loyalty program.
- Own product prioritization framework and make recommendations regarding investment allocation, feature prioritization, and roadmap tradeoffs based on business impact, fan value, and technical feasibility.
- Understand key initiatives for Team USA, including fan needs, evolving market trends, technology innovations, and competitive offerings to grow and develop new functionality, features, and platforms in partnership with key vendors and partners.
- Translate high-level organizational goals into detailed implementation roadmaps, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to define development needs, timelines, resources, investments and deliverables.
- Serve as the internal project manager, ensuring timelines, approvals, and assets are delivered on time and at a high standard.
- Collaborate on a comprehensive, flame-to-flame strategy and integrated marketing calendar that identifies key milestones, competition events, cultural moments and opportunities for the Team USA brand to authentically engage new audiences through its digital ecosystem.
- Champion user-centered design principles by leveraging fan insights, usability testing, journey mapping, and accessibility standards to create exceptional digital experiences.
- Define business requirements, functional requirements and write epics & user stories for technical development and implementation teams.
- Develop and manage robust documentation to serve as the source of truth for all decisions, integrations, and features.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Partner closely with Brand, Content, Experiences, Creative, Partner Marketing, NGBs, Legal, and Commercial Strategy teams, among others, to develop, iterate and release products and enhancements that meet stakeholder needs and deliver personalized experiences across digital channels.
- Leverage technical acumen and collaborate with the internal Fan Insights & Technology team to build solutions that integrate into the existing data architecture and identity solutions while enhancing platform capabilities in support of the long-term Team USA digital ecosystem strategy.
- Implement and manage a series of cross-functional planning meetings.
- Publish and execute commercial programs that deliver on fan engagement goals and partner objectives.
Data Driven Decision Making & Prioritization
- Define KPIs and measurement strategies for each channel in partnership with the Insights & Analytics team and track impact against those goals.
- Collaborate closely with cross functional teams to build out testing strategies and establish a culture of experimentation through A/B testing, user research, behavioral analytics, and continuous optimization to improve fan acquisition, engagement, retention, and monetization.
- Have the foresight and understanding to recommend the prioritization of investment and resources to build capabilities that grow fandom and drive revenue.
Team Leadership
- Oversee all Product operations and budget management to create processes that lead to efficiencies across teams.
- Develop, mentor, and coach a team of two Digital Product Managers by fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Manage relationships with key platform vendors to ensure deep partnership, alignment and shared goals.
- Lead relationships with third-party agencies to assess feature and product opportunities, drive ideation and prioritization for new initiatives and features.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years of product management experience.
- Proven track record of bringing products to market and leading cross-functional, high-performing teams.
- Experience working with product management tools and an understanding of waterfall and agile methodologies.
- Excellent understanding of the digital landscape regionally, domestically, and internationally.
- Understanding of digital product management best practices.
- Knowledgeable in content management, websites, mobile applications, and content publishing.
- Knowledgeable in simplifying complex projects and creating clear narratives and plans.
- Knowledgeable in developing a strong point-of-view based on data and presenting recommendations to stakeholders.
- Knowledgeable in aligning stakeholders across various teams behind a project or initiative.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Strong interest in continuously learning about new technology and its application in business.
- Strong appreciation for sport and the Olympic & Paralympic Movement.
- Knowledge of Salesforce products such as Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud and Mulesoft as well as Snowflake and Tableau a plus.
- Experience in the sports industry a plus.

- Office environment in a multi-level building on a multi-building site.
- Non-traditional work hours on occasion, including nights and weekends.
- Able to travel domestically and internationally.

Additional Information
- Hiring pay range: $97,000 - $107,000 per year.
- This Full-Time, Exempt position is intended to work 40 hours per week.
- Bonus: This position will be eligible for the Annual Incentive Award Program, which has a 15% target.
- The USOPC may change or eliminate this program at any time at its sole discretion.
- Benefits: This position will be eligible for USOPC benefits.
