Responsibilities
- Lead global procurement operations, ensuring alignment with Strategic Sourcing, Finance, and business priorities
- Oversee buying experience and transactional procurement activities, including requisitioning, intake management, and purchase order creation within SAP Ariba
- Lead, develop, and motivate a high-performing procurement operations team, building sustainable capability and accountability
- Own SAP Ariba and related procurement platforms, defining strategy, roadmap, governance, data integrity standards, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Drive adoption of compliant buying channels, including Guided Buying, catalogs, and standardized workflows, to improve the end-user experience and policy compliance
- Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with procurement policies, upstream Procure-to-Pay processes, and audit requirements
- Partner with Finance and Accounts Payable to resolve invoice issues and improve supplier and purchase order data quality
- Drive process optimization, automation, and supplier onboarding and adoption to support scalability across procurement operations
- Analyze procurement performance metrics and deliver insights to improve efficiency, cost management, and end-user buying experience
- Serve as a trusted cross-functional partner to advance Procure-to-Pay transformation initiatives and drive adoption of new ways of working
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; BS or MBA in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline preferred
- 8-10+ years of experience in procurement, procurement operations, or Procure-to-Pay functions, including people leadership
- Strong understanding of end-to-end P2P processes and cross-functional dependencies
- Deep SAP Ariba expertise required (including Guided Buying and SLP); SAP S/4HANA strongly preferred
- Proven experience designing and driving adoption of end-user buying experiences, including catalog and category-based purchasing
- Biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical industry experience required
- Demonstrated success driving process improvement, automation, and digital transformation
- Strong leadership, change-management, and stakeholder-influencing skills
- Global procurement experience and familiarity with contract lifecycle management (CLM) or third-party risk tools preferred
Pay
$161,500.00 - $218,500.00
