Associate Director, Payer Marketing - Oncology Multiple Myeloma

Responsibilities
- Lead Payer Strategy & Value Platform Development
- Own the development of the CAR-T payer value narrative, ensuring alignment with evolving reimbursement and access dynamics
- Design and deliver differentiated value propositions that influence payer decision-making and support broader adoption
- Build Best-in-Class Payer Tools & Field Enablement
- Oversee development of critical payer tools (e.g., value story, budget impact models, cost calculators)
- Ensure tools are insight-driven, compliant, and tailored to payer-specific needs
- Enable field and account teams through training and ongoing support on payer messaging and resources
- Advance Evidence Generation & Value Communication
- Partner with HEOR and Market Access to define and deliver evidence strategies aligned to payer expectations
- Translate complex clinical and economic data into clear, differentiated value communications
- Evidence supports both in-line optimization and successful pipeline/launch execution
- Drive Cross-Functional Alignment & Launch Readiness
- Serve as a key connector across Market Access, Brand, Medical Affairs, GACO, and Account Teams
- Align payer strategy with enterprise commercial objectives and launch plans
- Collaborate with alliance partners where applicable to ensure unified execution
- Manage External Partners & Execution Excellence
- Lead agency of record and vendor relationships to deliver high-quality, compliant materials
- Oversee PRC review process and ensure adherence to regulatory and legal standards
- Manage budgets and statements of work to ensure efficient and effective resource allocation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of experience, OR Master’s Degree and 8+ years of experience, OR PhD and 2+ years of experience
- Deep understanding of CAR-T reimbursement dynamics, including single case agreements and network requirements
- Strong knowledge of hematology/oncology and cell therapy landscape
- Expertise in U.S. healthcare economics, including buy-and-bill, hospital economics, and payer/provider models
- Experience developing payer value platforms and contributing to HEOR evidence strategies
- Demonstrated success engaging with payers, providers, and health policy stakeholders
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
- Excellent communication, influencing, and project management capabilities
Benefits
The salary range for this position is: $195,670.00 - $253,220.00. Kite considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary.
This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
