Associate Director, Patient & Professional Advocacy
About the role
We're seeking an Associate Director, Patient Advocacy & Professional Engagement to join our Patient Advocacy team. Reporting to the Director, Patient Advocacy and Professional Engagement, you'll lead patient advocacy and professional society engagements, fostering strong relationships and influencing our clinical development strategies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a Patient & Professional Organization engagement strategy aligned with internal and external needs.
- Collaborate and co-create with Patient & Professional Organizations to develop innovative initiatives.
- Participate and support Patient Organization events, workshops, and conferences.
- Collaborate and co-create with Professional Medical Associations to implement initiatives addressing medical science.
- Implement a strategic framework to ensure patient experience is integrated into all critical business decisions.
- Engage with patient advocacy groups, foundations, and individual patients to understand their perspectives and needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure patient perspective is understood and incorporated into company culture.
- Represent the company in external forums and conferences related to patient advocacy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences, healthcare, public health, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in patient advocacy/engagement or related roles in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industries.
- Strong understanding of Pulmonary and Rare Lung diseases.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in a matrixed team structure.
- Demonstrated peer leadership experience.
- Deep empathy for patients and their families.
- Knowledge of regulatory and ethical considerations related to patient advocacy and engagement.
- Passion for improving the lives of patients with serious and rare diseases.
- Familiarity/experience with regulatory and pharmaceutical legal promotional review processes.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Experience working in an early-stage and/or mid-cap sized company desirable.

Pay
$155,000.00 - $201,500.00 Annual
Schedule
This is a fully remote role. Occasional travel for team meetings or events will be expected. Travel requirements are approximately 25%.
