About the role

We're seeking an Associate Director, Patient Advocacy & Professional Engagement to join our Patient Advocacy team. Reporting to the Director, Patient Advocacy and Professional Engagement, you'll build and lead patient advocacy and professional society engagements, focusing on understanding and addressing patient needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a Patient & Professional Organization engagement strategy.
  • Collaborate with Patient & Professional Organizations to identify and implement innovative initiatives.
  • Participate and support Patient Organization events, workshops, and conferences.
  • Build and maintain a KOL strategy with thought leaders in assigned therapeutic/disease states.
  • Implement a strategic framework to incorporate patient experience into all critical business decisions.
  • Engage with patient advocacy groups, foundations, and individual patients to understand their perspectives and needs.
  • Represent the company in external forums and conferences related to patient advocacy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, healthcare, public health, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in patient advocacy/engagement or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of Pulmonary and Rare Lung diseases.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in a matrixed team structure.
  • Peer leadership experience and ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Deep empathy for patients and their families.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and ethical considerations related to patient advocacy and engagement.
  • Passionate about making a difference in the lives of patients with serious and rare diseases.
  • Familiarity/experience with regulatory and pharmaceutical legal promotional review processes.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience working in an early-stage and/or mid-cap sized company.

Skills

$155,000.00 - $201,500.00 Annual
