Monks is seeking an Associate Director of Paid Social who is passionate about performance marketing, leadership, and driving growth for top advertisers across major paid social platforms. About the Role

As an Associate Director, Paid Social, you will lead strategy, optimize campaigns, and guide account teams to deliver exceptional results for clients. You’ll oversee high-budget accounts, mentor talent, and foster strong client relationships while driving revenue growth and performance improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the paid social lead for top clients, directing strategy and optimizing campaigns across Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, and other platforms.
  • Guide overall account strategy, forecasting, and planning for performance ecommerce, retail, and B2B lead generation clients with ad spends ranging from $200K–$100MM/month.
  • Drive creative strategy in collaboration with creative teams to tailor messaging and iterate based on performance.
  • Generate revenue growth through client renewals and participate in onboardings, QBRs, renewal calls, and key client communications.
  • Act as a senior sponsor for client accounts, building relationships with decision-makers and ensuring an exceptional client experience.
  • Manage and train a small team of Account Managers in advanced paid social advertising, multi-channel strategy, and client management skills (projections, analytics, reporting).
  • Focus on personnel development through ongoing feedback, performance reviews, and weekly 1:1s with direct reports.
  • Motivate and guide your team to hit quarterly account growth and retention targets.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of paid social client management experience.
  • 1+ year in a supervisory role directly overseeing digital marketing professionals.
  • Meta/LinkedIn experience is required; Pinterest, Snapchat, or TikTok experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in Google Analytics, Meta Business Manager, Excel, and Google Sheets.
  • Exceptional communication skills for presenting digital marketing strategy to C-suite and executive audiences.
  • Natural leadership ability with a focus on team success and collaboration.
  • Comfortable diving into details while maintaining a big-picture perspective.
  • Driven, innovative, and proactive mindset.
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience.

Nice to Have

  • Direct management of paid social budgets exceeding $100K/month in ad spend.
  • Exposure to paid search, display, and remarketing efforts.
  • Experience optimizing toward back-end CRM metrics (e.g., Salesforce).

Pay

Salary Range: $95,000—$105,000 USD.

Schedule

This role is subject to Monks’ Return to Office (RTO) policy. If you reside within a commutable distance of one of our office locations, you will be expected to work from the office a set number of days per week, per the company’s then-current RTO policy.
