Associate Director Of Service And Leadership Development

Responsibilities

  • Teach a course annually in the Leadership Minor program, LED 200 (Introduction to Leadership)
  • Serve as the Coordinator of Student Engagement Plan, coordinate, and host the Fall and Spring RSO Involvement Fair
  • Develop the Student Organization Suite student employees, supervise and train them, manage their staffing and budget
  • Implement and assess comprehensive leadership curricula for ongoing student organization leader training
  • Create and host the RSO Leadership Training Series curriculum with the Coordinator of Student Engagement
  • Plan and host ongoing small group training for new formed RSOS with the Coordinator of Student Engagement
  • Host a transition meeting for RSO leaders in spring with the Coordinator of Student Engagement
  • Recruit, hire, and train student staff for the PEACE volunteer center
  • Advise PEACE staff about domestic and international Spartan Service Break trips
  • Manage the Spartan Community Mentors after school tutoring program
  • Coordinate the UTampa Serves umbrella organization for all service related organizations
  • Establish strategic and measurable learning goals for areas of governance
  • Collaborate with campus partners for community engagement and service programming
  • Develop community partner relationships with the Director, Community Engagement
  • Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in higher education or related area required
  • Previous event planning experience
  • Demonstrated experience in student programming and contract negotiation
  • Experience with digital technology that supports engagement, project management
  • Flexible hours required to support evening and weekend events
  • Excellent written, oral, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of or the ability to learn The University of Tampa software programs such as Workday and Microsoft Office
  • Previous supervision experience required
