Associate Director of Mental Health

Duties & Responsibilities

• Formulates, develops methods and procedures for monitoring, evaluating, and operating mental health programs and services in assigned areas of responsibility.
• Maintains liaison with community agencies and professional organizations on matters affecting mental health programs.
• Reviews city, state, and federal regulations in connection with compliance.
• Prepares special reports, studies, and budgetary estimates.
• Provides advisory, consultative services in connection with development of grant proposals.
• Performs related duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Possession of a valid license and current registration to practice in a mental health discipline issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED).
• Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in a health care setting or regulatory agency administration, with an emphasis on development and evaluation of mental health delivery services.
• One (1) year of which must have been in an administrative, managerial or supervisory capacity.
