The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) invites applications for the Associate Director of Marketing & Communications, UNLV Senior Vice Provost - Marketing and Communications [R0151157].
Responsibilities
- Cook up marketing projects and divisional campaigns for Academic Affairs departments, overseeing content development, creative execution, and production.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for Academic Affairs marketing requests and as the final approver for assigned marketing campaigns, ensuring accuracy, brand compliance, and effectiveness.
- Lead video and photography projects for Academic Affairs, providing creative direction, managing scheduling and coordinating on- and off-campus shoots, approving final edits, and ensuring high-quality multimedia content.
- Oversee the creation and implementation of email journeys within lifecycle communication initiatives to support recruitment, admission, retention, and graduation.
- Supervise Content Marketing Specialists, providing leadership in content strategy, editorial direction, and project prioritization across print and digital channels.
- Foster collaboration across Academic Affairs, university colleges and schools, and broader institutional units to ensure alignment in messaging and marketing efforts across the university.
- Contribute to goal setting, performance tracking, and data-informed marketing strategies to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, public relations, communications, or a related field from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
- 5–7 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful campaigns (preferably in higher education or a similar sector).
- 1–3 years of supervisory experience.

- Understand integrated marketing communications principles, market segmentation, current industry trends, and best practices.
- Develop and implement marketing and communication plans.

- Collaborate effectively across departments and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Write, edit content for a variety of audiences and communicate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
- Ensure compliance with digital accessibility standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
