About the Role

This onsite position provides operational leadership for the day-to-day administration and operational functions of the Human Resources department at our home office in Highland Park, New Jersey. The role ensures the effective delivery of HR services, including benefit administration, pension & retirement plans, payroll, leave management, worker's compensation, HR compliance, HRIS, and process improvement.

Working in close partnership with the Director of Human Resources, you will ensure HR programs, systems, and practices are administered efficiently, consistently, and in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws while supporting Parker's mission, values, and commitment to exceptional care partner service standards. This position will provide practical support to managers across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including benefit administration, pension & retirement plans, payroll, leave management, and worker's compensation.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, COBRA, ACA).
  • Lead HRIS systems and generate workforce reports and analytics.
  • Improve HR policies, procedures, and operational processes.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to the HR team.
  • Support managers across the organization with HR-related matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field preferred; an equivalent combination of education and directly related HR experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive Human Resources experience, with at least three (3) years in HR operations, retirement plans, benefits, payroll, or a related functional area.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or leadership experience managing an HR team.
  • Experience interpreting and applying federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Flu vaccine required during flu season.

Qualifications

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for improving processes.
  • Detail-driven professional with a commitment to delivering a high-quality employee experience.
