Position Responsibilities
- Market all disciplines of Osborn Engineering capabilities to clients.
- Provide technical direction/oversight on design work within their particular discipline.
- Interaction with in-house Engineering project team members.
- Interact directly with healthcare facility owners, Owner’s Representatives, project managers, construction team members, architects, and related healthcare professional members.
- Attend and actively participate in meetings with clients, authorities having jurisdiction, and other professionals.
- Prepare proposals and administer project contracts, including Add Service Agreements.
- Work planning and manage the design process to the available hours in the work plan.
- Supervise staff and the following:
- Complete monthly financial performance metrics of projects managed including hours to complete requirements.
- Manage the preparation of design deliverables for SD, DD, CD level documents.
- Manage client expectations, project deliverables and project deadlines in conjunctions with the project team.
- Manage the QAQC process and conformance with the Osborn Quality control program.
- Conduct business development activities, participating in various trade organizations, and prepare or assist with presentations.
- Represent the firm in project and client interviews.
- Work with Division Leadership and the corporate Business Development team to successfully build, develop, and manage clients.
- Work with Osborn Marketing team in continually updating and providing project narratives to maintain current healthcare qualifications marketing information.
Job Requirements/Qualifications
- Must have at a minimum of 15+ years of experience in the Healthcare field focused on engineering and facilities design and/or actively managed the operation and construction of healthcare facilities.
- Must have managed the design and execution of construction projects valued at $5M or more.
- Must have a strong knowledge and application of NFPA 99, 101 and the most recent version of the Facilities Guideline Institute (FGI) to include ASHRAE 170, Ventilation for Healthcare Facilities.
- Must have strong knowledge and understanding of Joint Commission standards and the Centers for Medicaid & Medicare (CMS) for healthcare as it relates to accreditation standards for healthcare owners.
- Must have strong leadership capabilities in leading a team of highly trained personnel to create a comprehensive, integrated work team to execute excellence in healthcare design, diagnostics, and implementation of strategized solutions.
- On a continuous basis, must keep abreast of new technologies, evidence-based design, code developments, energy efficiency strategies, etc…, to be a leader in healthcare design.
- Aid in the development of both company wide and healthcare strategic planning.
- Aid in developing a structured mentoring process to aid in the professional development of healthcare engineers and team members to execute excellence in healthcare design.

- Experience leading teams and working with engineers on facility design and improvement projects.
- Able to lead and/or work on several projects concurrently.
