About the role

The Associate Director of College Counseling at Metairie Park Country Day School is responsible for supporting students in their college exploration and application process. This position works closely with the Head of Upper School and other faculty members to ensure that all students receive personalized guidance.

Responsibilities

• Support students in their college research and application process
• Collaborate with teachers and counselors to provide comprehensive support to students
• Work with families to address concerns and answer questions about college admissions
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance the college counseling program
• Assist in the development and implementation of college counseling initiatives

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in college counseling
• A Master's degree in Counseling, Education, or a related field
• Experience working with diverse student populations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Knowledge of college admission processes and trends
• Experience with college counseling software
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
