Position Overview
Rider University, an NCAA Division I institution and member of The Metro Conference invites applications for an Associate Director of Athletics for Business Operations who will be responsible for all aspects of business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Budget planning, implementation and monitoring.
- Maintain and enforce business operations portion of the Department of Athletics Policy and Procedures Manual in coordination with University fiscal policies.
- Arrange all bus, van and air travel for 19 teams and administrative staff.
- Oversee the online ticketing system and manage credit card deposits.
- Act as sport administrator for swimming and diving and golf. Attend all home swim meets and conference championships.
- Primary liaison between the coaches and team members and the athletic administration when it comes to student-athlete and parental issues.
- Administer and oversee Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) and Alston payments for men's and women's basketball student-athletes, ensuring timely processing, accurate financial documentation, and compliance with University policies, NCAA regulations, conference requirements, and applicable state and federal laws.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience working with budgets.
- Strong communication, computer, and organizational skills.
- Experience working in a college athletic environment and a general knowledge of and willingness to comply with NCAA and conference rules and regulations.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Satisfactory background and/or DMV checks required.
