Associate Director of Analysis & Investigations

About the Role

This role is focused on threat assessment, intelligence gathering, and investigative support to ensure the safety and security of personnel, events, and facilities. The position supports executive protection teams, monitors potential threats, and assists in workplace safety through intelligence on harassment, workplace violence, and other risks. It also involves reviewing events for security impacts, analyzing past incidents, and maintaining a strong information-sharing network with public and private partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop threat assessments for franchises, scheduled events, and talent as guidance for relevant stakeholders.
• Identify news, social media, and public safety sources/contacts for all relevant franchises and event genres.
• Support Pacers and Fever Executive Protection teams by providing intelligence products on topics including but not limited to people of interest, venue advances, and notable talent.
• Monitor protests and demonstrations that may impact events/assets and provide notification to appropriate stakeholders.
• Support the PS&E Threat Assessment Group (Security, Legal, Human Resources) by providing intelligence products on cases of potential workplace violence, stalking, harassment, anonymous communications, and social media threats.
• Provide timely communications and actionable intelligence to support the protection of people, assets, and infrastructure.
• Facilitate threat and intelligence meetings and briefings with relevant stakeholders to share intelligence and support risk-informed decision-making.
• Review upcoming events and related incidents that may impact security/business operations.
• Review past incidents/events to identify trends, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Develop and maintain an information-sharing network among public safety and private sector partners.
• Maintain awareness of the current threat landscape and emerging security threats.
• Conduct and manage investigations (personnel, administrative, internal, safety, etc.) and reduce findings and recommendations to writing.
• Review and oversee incident reports (medical, safety, fire marshal, security, etc.) to ensure completeness; coordinate with staff or witnesses to gather additional information, including video, interviews, and statements.
• Summarize findings to inform PS&E leadership, Security team, Facility Operations, and Risk Manager.
• Coordinate with PS&E Risk Manager and insurance broker to ensure full information is provided for managing incidents and claims.
• Review reports and investigations, identify information gaps, and conduct follow-up investigations, interviews, or video reviews to ensure thorough documentation.
• Align with PS&E’s mission and core values and participate in company-sponsored community outreach programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Political Science, Public Safety Management, or a related field. A combination of relevant experience and education may be considered.
• Minimum of two years’ relevant experience in intelligence or investigative support.

Physical and Environmental Demands

The role requires regular sitting, standing, walking, moving heavy objects, using a computer, 10-key calculator, telephone, speaking, hearing, and writing. The office environment is typically moderate in noise, while the game/event environment at Gainbridge Fieldhouse is usually loud. Stress levels may become high during certain times of the year.
