Associate Director, Medical Science Liaison - St. Louis/Indianapolis
About the role
We're seeking an Associate Director, Medical Science Liaison to cover the St. Louis, MO and Indianapolis, IN territories. This role supports Insmed's mission to transform the lives of patients with serious and rare diseases.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain professional relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs), physicians, academic institutions, and researchers.
- Provide expert medical and scientific support across Insmed's therapeutic areas, focusing on rare, pulmonary/respiratory, and infectious diseases.
- Engage in scientific exchanges, present product data, support advisory boards, gather HCP insights, assist with clinical trials, and deliver internal training.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships to ensure timely, effective, and appropriate communication of current and emerging medical and scientific information.
- Identify Medical Experts, consultants, investigators, and healthcare professionals (HCP) in assigned therapeutic areas, and support research and development programs.
- Support payers, commercial managed markets, and related health care organizations to facilitate access to Insmed's medications for appropriate patients.
- Deliver and implement effective product and disease-state training and mentoring to internal Insmed colleagues.
- Support and execute Medical Affairs plans, Clinical Development projects, programs, and initiatives.
Requirements
- An advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, or NP/PA) with 5 years of relevant field medical experience, or a combination of education, training, and experience.
- Experience in rare/orphan diseases, pulmonary/respiratory diseases, and infectious disease.
- Other pharmaceutical experience – Medical Information, Medical Strategy, Clinical management/trial experience, and 2 years clinical or research experience (non-pharma).
- Adequate command of the English language, effective presentation skills, and advanced interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of the PhRMA code of conduct, the Sunshine Act, HIPAA regulations, Promotional Regulations, and all relevant laws and regulations.
- Understanding of the US Healthcare system and healthcare policy.
- Commitment to self-improvement and building relationships.
Qualifications
- High scientific knowledge and competency of Insmed therapeutic disease states, products, and competitor data.
- Field therapeutic area expert with strong competency in medical and scientific exchange to healthcare organizations.
- Ability to collect, synthesize, and deliver HCP-derived scientific insights to Insmed.
- Support research and development programs as requested by R&D, Clinical Operations, and Medical Affairs Departments.

Pay
$187,000.00 - $244,000.00 Annual
Schedule
This is a fully remote role. Travel for team meetings or events will be expected. Travel requirements involve frequent domestic and/or international travel (up to 60-80%) with periods of 50% and more travel.
