About the role
The Associate Director, Human Resources supports the Rensselaer, NY manufacturing site by focusing on attracting, motivating, training, and retaining the workforce. Key responsibilities include facilitating human resources activities, interpreting collective bargaining agreements, and negotiating labor agreements.
Responsibilities
- Lead HR practices to foster a high-performance culture emphasizing safety, quality, and productivity
- Implement site-specific employee-related plans and ensure consistent policy application
- Coach supervisors, managers, and employees on various HR topics including policies, procedures, and grievance handling
- Oversee the site-wide training program and manage training records
- Facilitate investigations and develop employee development plans
- Provide compliance training and support managers in achieving organizational objectives
- Respond to employee inquiries and liaise with functional teams
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and labor laws
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Human Resources in a high-energy environment
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a unionized industrial or manufacturing environment
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in labor relations, including grievance/arbitration processes and collective bargaining agreements
- Preferred Master’s degree in Human Resources
- Experience in pharmaceutical industry preferred

$135,000 - $168,000
